Muslims, Mormons, Catholics and Me

My posts often wander off the topic of Palm Coast and talk about the religions and "spirituality" paths I explore on this journey toward my Final Solution.
Here is a tidbit that might arouse the interest of non-Catholics.  The Catholic Bible is bigger than the Protestant Bible!

Deuterocanonical books
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Deuterocanonical Books" is a term used since the sixteenth century in the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Christianity to describe certain books and passages of the Christian Old Testament that are not part of the Jewish Bible.

The term is used in contrast to the protocanonical books, which are contained in the Hebrew Bible. This distinction had previously contributed to debate in the early Church about whether they should be read in the churches and thus be classified as canonical texts.

The Deuterocanonical books are considered canonical by Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox and Oriental Orthodox, but are considered non-canonical by Protestants.

Some editions of the Catholic Bible include text from both deuterocanonical and non-canonical scriptures in a single section designated 'Apocrypha'.

And here is something to piss them off:

"As Catholics were responsible for writing the New Testament (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit), the Catholic Church doesn't "interpret" the Bible. We explain it. Protestants can only "interpret", because they are not the author (guided by the Holy Spirit), and therefore, can only guess at the possible meaning of a chapter, passage or phrase, just as anyone can only guess at any author's intentions in any other book. As the author, the Catholic Church is the only proper authority to consult in matters pertaining to the Bible."

Of course.  Of course.  Off Course!

Mormons have the True Church; they have a record of Jesus’ visit to the Americas.   Mohammed came after Jesus, so his followers should rule.   The Catholics wrote the book, they should know.   Pagans, athiests, philosophers, scientists; they each know the real truth.

Let’s kill each other and find out whose right! Go, Go, Nuclear!

God Bless You! Nameste’ and
Kiss Your Ass GoodBye
