I watched “Grand Turino” the other night. It made me wonder whether the confidence I have from owning and carrying a .40 Glock with a laser sight is a mistake? Even if you accept the double-tap philosophy?
The little red dot, instead of staying right on target, wanders around like a frighted housefly when I aim it at more than about ten yards. Would the bad guy see the light and run? Or would he laugh like hell and kick my ass?
I have an old double barrel my Dad gave me as a kid that I was thinking about trading for a short barrel, 12 gauge pump with double-aught buckshot in it. But I can’t tuck that into my waistband or carry it in a small case next to me in the car.
So what about trading that Glock for a Scorpion Vz 61 Machine Pistol or a Micro Uzi http://www.dreadgazebo.com/gunporn/?p=96#comments .
Can I afford it? How will it carry? Good excuse to go to Buck’s gunshop or a local gun show and research it before guns are outlawed via HealthCare legislation... I don’t want to be my headline.

As I'm sure that headline would gain front page placement ... we'd all be onto another exciting story by the next day.
My primary objective is always to get a laugh. I need to post my
Facebook disclaimer on this blog:
WARNING: Read all my entries as though I was trying to get you to smile. DO NOT TAKE ME SERIOUSLY. Maybe the info will be accurate, but the delivery will be trying for a laugh.
